A whirlwind weekend
Over the weekend 19th - 20th May Our Chief scout did a tour of Scotland and Northern IrelandHe visited a very busy Fordell Firs National Scout Activity Centre where a number of camping competitions and survival skills activities were taking place Incluiding our own District Camping competition was taking place.
A highlight of the visit was seeing the Chief Scout don a harness for a go on the King Swing just like our Chief Commissioner of Scotland did in late 2011.
Bear’s words
The Chief Scout certainly enjoyed himself and has said, “My visits around the UK are such a blast, and I am just so impressed, excited, humbled and moved. You know that there is something powerful afoot when you witness first-hand the amazing energy, commitment and dedication of so many volunteers. The great stories are too numerous to tell, but what shines through every group and scout I met is the deep-rooted conviction that together we are all part of something special.”District Camping Competition
The District Totem Camping Competition for Scouts, was held over the week-end 19-20 May, and was won by the 13th Fife (Rosyth) Scout Troop. Congratulations to all. The Full Results are published here or see the District Competition pages.
