Opportunities for Getting Scouts Active Outdoors Again
Further to the successful event held in 2011 and through funding made available from the Cashback for the Communities programme we have been given the opportunity to provide a full week-long activity experience to Scouts (10 ½ - 14) based at our Lochgoilhead Centre during the Easter Holidays 2012. The activity week will take place between Monday 9th and Sunday 15th April 2012
The residential event is being offered to Scouts who, for whatever reason, have been unable to attend an extended residential experience. This might be due to lack of adult resource or availability or individuals/Troops who come from communities that are experiencing economic hardship and as a result have been unable to take part in locally arranged activities.
The package would include full indoor accommodation, all activities, full catering and transport to and from a number of central locations. The cost of this week long opportunity is only £40 per person.
Please note that Groups who attended the event in October are ineligible to attend.
At this stage we need to know if you think that there are people in your District who would benefit from this opportunity and if so please let me know by return so that we can consider offering places to those most in need as places are very limited, Please do not contact Lochgoilhead directly,
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future,
Kind Regards,
Graeme
