Rosyth District is made up of 7 Scout Groups.

13th Fife (Rosyth Methodist) Scout Group.
41st Rosyth Scout Group.
46th Cowdenbeath Scout Group.
48th Dalgety Bay Scout Group.
66th Aberdour Scout Group.
68th Inverkeithing Scout Group
77th Kelty Scout Group.
We also have 2 Scout Fellowships,
One is associated with the 41st Rosyth Scout Group
and the Inch Fellowship which assists the District.

Scout Speak up


 

 

Scout Speak up – is a course that trains you to ‘Tell the world about Scouting’

· this course is designed to give you the skills and confidence to talk about your experiences to a wide variety of audiences and teach you how to carry out campaigns.


· it’s aimed at youth members aged 15-19,

What does the course cover?


• Talking to journalists
• Giving radio interviews
• Delivering presentations
• Supporting a campaign
• Online campaigns/direct lobbying


Skills for Life


· These skills will be useful for the rest of your life and will look great on a CV - you’ll get real media and promotional experience on your CV!

· And of course, you’ll enjoy a fun-filled weekend with other Scouts your age.


Be Part of Future Campaigns


· You’ll be put in contact with your Region’s ARC Communications (that’s me) who will proactively work with you to make the most of your newfound skills.

· You will also be contacted by Scottish Headquarters from time to time when they need young people to speak to the media for them.

· You’ll be invited to join a group who will work on ideas for promoting scouting – you’ll get involved in the brainstorming of ideas and the execution of these ideas as future campaigns.


Camp details and cost


· The course, including overnight accommodation and food, is free


· You will need to pay your own travelling expenses to and from Fordell Firs – however there may be money available from region if there are problems with this costs.


· Some participants will camp; others will stay in indoor accommodation.

· Full pre-course information will be distributed prior to the events.
